How to Backup Recordings to Backblaze B2

Record videos and upload automatically to Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage.

It is a service similar to Amazon S3 where they offer you data storage in the cloud. This cloud storage can be used to backup your Shinobi Recordings.

Option Name Description Finding it
Bucket Name This is a unique name given to your Bucket when it was created. You can find the bucket name in your Buckets List .
Key ID The Key ID of your Master  App Key . At present you can only use a Master Key , the reason is unknown at the time of writing this article. You can find the Key ID in your App Keys page.
Application Key This is the secret key string given right after you create your App Key. You will not be able to see it again after leaving the page that displays it after creation. You can find the Application Key in your App Keys page right after you have created an App Key.

1. Open Account Settings from the Main Menu (on the left).

2. Scroll down to the Backblaze B2 section.

3. Set the values from your Requirements .

  • Autosave : This is the option that needs to be enabled to start upload upon video completion.
  • Save Links to Database : To save the link in your local database to review from the Shinobi panel or by API.
  • Save Directory : Is the base folder inside your bucket that you want Shinobi to create the save structure in.

4. Save. Now any newly created videos will upload automatically.
